
PEER TO PEER PARTNERSHIPS AT EFEA: When a student misses an assignment at the East Feliciana Enrichment Academy, their peers provide them with assistance as a strategy to support student mastery for both the peer teacher and the peer student.


THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS PAVED WITH COLLABORATION: Students enrolled in English I at East Feliciana High School regularly engage in collaborative learning activities that require students to share their critical thinking with their peers.





Students in 7th grade at EFMS learned about how forensic anthropologists explore bones to tell stories of the past. Students used reading circles in a coteaching model. Implementing quality curriculum through research-based teaching strategies is a priority our strategic plan.


Introducing Wigglebots at EF STEAM: Sixth grade students at the East Feliciana STEAM Academy explored principles of design and electricity in their Step into STEM class to create a robot that draws random pictures on its own.



Learning by Doing at SES: Slaughter Elementary School sixth grade students Cedar Blackstone and Daniel Mealey perform an experiment to explore cellular respiration and the release of carbon dioxide when we exhale.



The Positive Behavior Intervention and Support team at Jackson Elementary School celebrated great student behavior and citizenship last month with special water-type Pokemon activities - cool sunglasses, water games, and fresh watermelon grown by Ms. Williams’ father!



Learning Through Discovery at CES: Clinton Elementary School students develop basic programming skills by using directions to guide e-Frog to its destinations.


Beyond the Headlines at East Feliciana High School: C’Rybian Robinson, a student in principles of business, reads an Advocate newspaper article, highlighting details and recording key facts about the news.


Students in the Introduction to STEM Pathways and Careers course at East Feliciana Middle School learned earlier this year about the difference between an open and closed circuit. Some students had to create their circuit several times before the LED bulb lit up. Persistence, adaptiveness, and curiosity are characteristics of innovative scientists. This course at East Feliciana Middle School, offered in partnership with LSU, is part of the growing continuum of STEAM learning available for students in our schools in grades PreK-12.

Students at EFMS learned about density and buoyancy in their Intro to STEM Pathways & Careers class. How many pennies can you get in the boat before it sinks? Students made predictions about the outcome and worked together to make a plan on how to get more pennies in their boat.
