LEARNING LOUISIANA AT SES: As part of learning about state government, third grade students at Slaughter Elementary School visited the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge. While there, they were able to meet with state representative Roy Daryl Adams, who shared with them about the legislative branch. Representative Adams also presented them with certificates recognizing them as honorary state representatives!

EXPLORING AGRICULTURE AT SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY: The Jackson Elementary School Cloverbuds and 4-H Club and the East Feliciana Middle School student body participated in a field trip to the Educational Ag Expo as part of Southern University Ag Center’s 82nd Annual State Livestock and Poultry Show. They got to explore agricultural stations, participate in demonstrations, and meet animals. This was a great way to bring their learning to life!
