The Positive Behavior Intervention and Support at JES hosted a Glow Party last month to celebrate great behavior and citizenship during the month of October. Special thanks to EFHS for hosting, Coach Anderson for assisting with setup, and Mr. Pullen for providing the music!
The men on the staff at Clinton Elementary School and members of the Clinton High School Alumni Association taught CES boys in grades 3-6 how to properly tie ties. The association even donated ties so that the young men can practice at home.
AGRICULTURE CONNECTIONS: Agriculture students at EFHS build additions for the school’s chicken run while EF STEAM students introduced meal worms into their routine to try to get the chickens to come when called.
SPARKING CREATIVITY AT SES: 5th grade students at Slaughter Elementary School brought literature to life by creating projects based on The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Leaders of the IGNITE tutoring program from across the country visited Jackson Elementary School last month to see the school’s exemplary implementation of one-on one and small group literacy tutoring. Teachers and leaders at the school partner with college students across the country to provide a block of virtual literacy tutoring based on individual students’ needs. We are always excited to share with others about the great teaching and learning happening in our schools.
Clinton Elementary School hosted their 3rd annual Career Day! The amazing lineup included the National Guard, Feliciana Bank, Audubon Library, makeup artist Alexis, the Clinton Fire and Police Departments, RKM Clinic, and Seek Ye First Trucking. Thank you to all in attendance!
East Feliciana Public Schools' Exceptional Student Services classes had the AWESOME opportunity to participate in the Buster L. Brown Day at the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair. This day was filled with excitement and fun! Students rode carnival rides, visited the petting zoo, and enjoyed a picnic style lunch, all at no cost to students. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to build their social skills and meet students from surrounding districts.
In partnership with our Exceptional Student Services Department, EFHS hosted a College, Career & Transitional Fair last month. Students connected with higher education, community, and career partners to learn about opportunities they may be able to pursue in the near future.

Earlier this month, Clinton Elementary School hosted a Thanksgiving program where students had the opportunity to develop their skills in the visual and performing arts.
EFMS HONORS OUR COMMUNITY'S VETERANS: East Feliciana Middle School students and staff hosted and led a special ceremony honoring veterans on Friday, November 10. Guest speaker at the program was East Feliciana’s own veteran, Henry Taylor.

MUSICAL MOMENTS AT EFMS: Students enrolled in music courses at East Feliciana Middle School receive instruction on the foundations of music from live virtual instructors through a program called “Live Music.”
