
It's Sweet Potato Season! 4-H club members at CES and JES were educated on the process of harvesting sweet potatoes, learned about their nutritional value, and partook in a tasting session with a baked sweet potato accompanied by butter, brown sugar, and sea salt.





Last month, East Feliciana High School students enrolled in career & technical education courses attended the “Build Your Career” event at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Students engaged with various companies involved in different trades like construction and plant work. Students also learned about opportunities for internships and possible job opportunities after graduation.


PINK FOR A PURPOSE: In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to raise money for breast cancer research and care, students and staff celebrated a district "Pink Out Day” on Friday, October 27.




Last month, Clinton Elementary School students visited the Barn Hill Preserve right here in East Feliciana Parish, where they had a chance to learn about a variety of animals, tour the corn maze, take a tractor ride, and experience other hands-on learning activities.

To observe their final home game as East Feliciana Middle School Tigers, eighth grade members of the EFMS cheer and football squads and their families were recognized at
Tuesday, October 17's home football game held at Calvin Chapman Memorial Stadium in Clinton against the SlaughterCommunity Charter School Knights. The Tigers were victorious, 24-16.





THERE'S "PUMPKIN" ABOUT FALL: Last month, students at Slaughter Elementary School had a chance to visit the pumpkin patch to learn all about the harvest season!



The East Feliciana Public Schools district team hosted Pre-K and kindergarten students from all of our elementary schools for a Trunk or Treat celebration on Tuesday, October 31!

MONITORING PROGRESS AT CLINTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Students adjust their Zearn trackers when they successfully complete a computer based lesson, which helps both students and teachers monitor progress throughout the learning mission.

PEER TO PEER PARTNERSHIPS AT EFEA: When a student misses an assignment at the East Feliciana Enrichment Academy, their peers provide them with assistance as a strategy to support student mastery for both the peer teacher and the peer student.


THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS PAVED WITH COLLABORATION: Students enrolled in English I at East Feliciana High School regularly engage in collaborative learning activities that require students to share their critical thinking with their peers.





Students in 7th grade at EFMS learned about how forensic anthropologists explore bones to tell stories of the past. Students used reading circles in a coteaching model. Implementing quality curriculum through research-based teaching strategies is a priority our strategic plan.


Introducing Wigglebots at EF STEAM: Sixth grade students at the East Feliciana STEAM Academy explored principles of design and electricity in their Step into STEM class to create a robot that draws random pictures on its own.
