Strong Start 2020

Dear East Feliciana Family,

The 2020-2021 school year will be an unprecedented one. As you prepare for this school year, I wanted to take a moment to share with you our core belief:

Every child in East Feliciana Public Schools will thrive with purpose when we prioritize and protect the safety of our community, identify and meet the comprehensive needs of each student, embrace innovation in meeting those needs, and regularly and clearly communicate with all stakeholders.

This belief is the heart of our Strong Start 2020 plan, and this belief will continue to guide us as we serve you this upcoming school year. This page is designed to provide you with the latest information regarding the reopening of our schools.

Based on the latest guidelines from Governor John Bel Edwards and the public health needs of our community, we anticipate that students will begin the school year on Monday, August 17. We anticipate students in our Traditional Program will begin the year in Blended model, while students in our 100% Virtual Program will remain in the 100% Virtual model regardless of the health needs of our community. More information about our two program choices is available by clicking "Your Enrollment Choices." As you have additional questions, please review our district's Strong Start plan and our Frequently Asked Questions.

During these unusual and challenging times, East Feliciana Public Schools are committed to meeting the academic needs of every child in our community. The safety of our students, staff, and community is our number one priority as we meet those needs. The guidance that we receive from public health officials is constantly evolving, and we will continue to prioritize safety in implementing that guidance. As information changes, please stay tuned to this page, our district Facebook and Twitter, and our automated call and text system.

Respectfully,

Keisha L. Netterville

Superintendent of Schools
