Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) SUPPORTING PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES About SEAC The purpose of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEAC) is to provide information and support to parents of children with disabilities, The council consist of. • Parents or legal guardians of students w/disabilities, enrolled in EFP • Teachers, Principals, Paraprofessionals employed by EFP • Self-Advocates (high school w/disabilities) • Employers of students w/disabilities) • Adults w/disabilities Questions? Contact Latrice Smith, Director (225) 683-8582 Benefits of being involved: • Opportunity to raise questions • Provide direct input to school leadership. • Influence policy and program decisions. SAC Meetings: This council will meet at least 3 times per year to share input on upcoming decisions concerning Special Education policies, procedures, and resources.
